eBay resale · July 2026

How we went from 20 eBay listings per day to 250+

The growth in capacity has been extraordinary and, from where I sit, we could not have caught up with the volume of stock without Superlister, which is the biggest compliment I can pay.

In their own words

When we launched the eBay side of Don’t Sit On It in July 2025, we were sitting on more than 5,000 items of stock, 99% of which were unique. There were watches, jewellery, clothes, iPhones, power tools, coins, small antiques, musical instruments and all sorts in between. We acquired this mainly through our radio and online advertising, so stock was arriving, whether or not our listing operation could keep pace. That was a serious problem for a fledgling business. Until then, our staff members typically listed between 20 and 40 items daily, which was not enough for the backlog and variety of stock we were handling.

Once we started using Superlister, that changed radically. As of July 2026, we have listed more than 45,000 items on eBay, and our individual staff members now process 100 to 150 items a day. We have not had to multiply the team size, we generally have the same number of staff now as we did last year, the key difference is how the day-to-day operation works.

Superlister effectively allows us to turn listings into a managed production workflow, and we can list items immediately, or plan and schedule one at a time or batches. That has helped enormously and in practical terms, that means that year-on-year, each person now generates around five times the revenue for us, per day.

It has also changed 'what we can afford to sell', as a large proportion of the stock we deal with is sub £20 in value, so historically the labour involved in photographing, researching, listing, checking and managing those items could make them marginal at best. Now that our cost of creating and managing listings has fallen, items worth £15 to £20 can make commercial sense. So that is one of the most important aspects, and if quantity is massively uplifted as well as quality, the platform is a no-brainer.

The second major change has been inventory control - Superlister is effectively a series of live libraries. We can see stock that has entered the operation, been photographed, been processed, listed and what is still waiting. That's valuable during seasonal changes. The current “summer of staycations” is a good example! So the visibility over prepared inventory means we now control throughput more intelligently.

The last major plus is the reporting within Superlister - it gives us 100% better operational visibility than we had been able to obtain from eBay itself. We now look at activity and performance in a way that makes sense to us and helps with productivity, stock management, at a glance eBay revenue analysis and wider financial planning.
